Kitchen Remodeling in Virginia Beach, VA

Custom cabinetry and finish work built for Virginia Beach homes. Class A licensed and locally experienced.

Custom Kitchens Built for Virginia Beach Homes

Virginia Beach kitchens come with their own set of problems. The ranches off Great Neck Road have load-bearing walls in exactly the wrong place. Houses along Shore Drive and out toward the base have settled over decades in the salt air, so almost nothing is plumb or square. Homes off First Colonial and down through Little Neck commonly have closed-off galley kitchens that were never meant to be seen from the living room.

None of that is a problem for stock cabinets and a tape measure — it is a problem for custom work. We build cabinetry and trim to fit the room as it actually is. Owner Dan Gleaton grew up in Virginia Beach and has spent more than twenty years remodeling homes across Hampton Roads.

What We Handle

One licensed team from design through final walkthrough.

Custom shaker cabinetry installed in a Great Neck Virginia Beach kitchen

Custom Cabinetry

Built and fitted to your walls, not ordered to the nearest three inches. Full-overlay doors, deep drawers, integrated pantry and appliance panels.

Quartz countertop installation in a Virginia Beach kitchen remodel

Quartz & Granite Countertops

Premium slabs, templated on site and cut in house. In coastal humidity we seal stone properly rather than leaving it to soak up the summer.

Kitchen layout redesign opening a galley kitchen in Little Neck Virginia Beach

Layout Redesign & Wall Removal

Opening a closed galley kitchen into the living space, done properly — headers sized, permits pulled, inspections passed.

Tile backsplash installation in a Virginia Beach kitchen

Tile & Backsplash

Subway, mosaic, slab, or full-height to the ceiling. Laid level, spaced consistently, sealed tight against moisture.

Hardwood flooring installation during a Virginia Beach kitchen renovation

Flooring

Hardwood, tile, or luxury vinyl plank — prepped and leveled before anything goes down.

Recessed and pendant kitchen lighting in a Virginia Beach home

Lighting & Electrical

Recessed cans, island pendants, under-cabinet strips, and dedicated circuits where code requires them. All permitted and inspected.

Where We Work in Virginia Beach

We take on kitchen projects across all of Virginia Beach. These are the corridors where we do the most work and know the housing stock best:

  • Great Neck: Shore Drive down to London Bridge Road — established homes, custom cabinetry and full layout changes.
  • Shore Drive: 25th Street out to the base — coastal humidity, salt air, and settled framing.
  • First Colonial Road: from Great Neck down to Laskin Road — older construction where nothing is square, built-to-fit work.
  • Little Neck: the whole peninsula, tip to tip — closed galley kitchens opened into living areas.
  • General Booth Boulevard: down to the Princess Anne Courthouse area — newer construction, finish-level upgrades.

Dan is from Virginia Beach, and if your house sits in one of these corridors there is a good chance we have already worked on one like it a few streets over. Don't see your neighborhood on this list? Reach out anyway — we take on kitchen projects throughout Virginia Beach, not just these areas.

Virginia Beach Kitchen Remodeling FAQ

We handle custom cabinetry as a standalone service, and bathroom remodeling is our second most requested job in Virginia Beach. For full-gut projects, see whole home remodeling .

A broader remodel also gives us the opportunity to coordinate cabinetry, flooring, trim, lighting, and paint across adjoining rooms. Planning those details together helps the kitchen feel connected to the rest of the home instead of looking like a separate update.
